We passed an Act of late
‘Cause protecting you’s expensive.
Developments since then
Have made us apprehensive.

Stamp Act enforcement
Is very inconvenient.
Second thoughts suggest
It’s better to be lenient.

So:
May it please the King
His Majesty most high
This Act is null and void
You do not need comply.

But don’t get too excited.
We noticed that you broke
Our laws with resolutions
Throwing off our yoke.

So we Declare today
That you are and ought to be
Subordinate unto
The Crown of this Great-B.

And Parliament shall have
The power and the force
To bind you to this nation
In every case—of course.

So:
May it please the King
His Majesty most high
Your Acts are null and void
Before this ink is dry.
